Kids With Heart is a non-profit organization whose mission is to engage and inspire young people to recognize the power of their actions and how much of a difference they can make in the world. Funds raised through Kids With Heart programs support local children with special needs.
My son Joey was diagnosed in 2007 with PDD-NOS, an autism spectrum disorder. Seeing my other kids rally around their brother, I saw a great opportunity to give this gift of empowering kids to help others and enable them to raise awareness for autism and other special needs.
It is vitally important for my son Joey and all special needs children to feel friendship and acceptance from other kids and to know others want to help them. I also believe that most kids today want to do more than just live for themselves—Kids With Heart empowers them to achieve this by working together to give back, create awareness and promote acceptance and friendship with special needs children.
We hope you and your kids will join in our efforts.
